Credit Risk is an integral part of lending. While there can be no lending without inherent risk, the concomitant risk can be mitigated through a structured and systematic approach. The training programme on Credit Risk Management aims to empower the officers of banks to perform their function of evaluating the credit risk of their borrowers more effectively. The program provides a holistic approach starting with the fundamentals of credit risk, the management and the administrative side of risk evaluation and mitigation. All this under the over arching Basel II & Basel III framework.
The program will benefit banks who are currently implementing Basel II and Basel III and gearing themselves to adopting the internal Rating Based approach for evaluating credit risk of their borrowers .
The program brings the best of analytical inputs on credit risk as also practical experience of evaluating credit risk of borrowers. Case studies and hands on exercises will be the primary delivery mode. At the end of the program, the participants will have a well rounded knowledge of both the analytical concepts and the ability to assess the risk of the underlying credit.
